Tom Selleck

Tom Selleck-2Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from the United States. His most famous character was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. The actor was nominated five times for Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor In a Drama Series (1980-1988) in the 1980-88 season, and received the Emmy Award in 1985. From 2010 to 2010, Selleck has been the New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. In nine television films based upon the Robert B. Parker novels, he played Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town, beginning in the year 2005. Selleck also played Peter Mitchell who was a student architect who is a student architect in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and A Little Lady(1990). In addition to his roles in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has appeared in over 50 films and TV shows, including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was a frequent TV actor in the roles of Monica Geller's lover, Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the attractive, unassuming partner, in The Rockford Files; and as A.J., the casino owner. He also had a leading role in the TV western film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran and is a spokesperson for National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
