Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is a talented American actress who has worked as a singer, writer, director and producer. She is known best for her character on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also produced, directed and appeared in her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson is the daughter, born on January 8th 1977 to Edward and Diane Benson. Danielle Benson is her artist younger sister. The father of Benson was Jewish as was her mother was Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. She grew up going to a Reform community in Alabama. In the years since Buffy ended Benson was in films like The Killing Jar and on shows such as Morganville The Series.
